Santa Fe, New Mexico
Santa Fe is a place that calls our names year after year. The adobe homes, art, culture and food are just a few reasons why we love this place so much. From Denver it was only a 6 hour drive and makes for the perfect spot for a long weekend away.
We've stayed in hotels as well as camped and we have enjoyed both options thoroughly. There is seriously no place like Santa Fe, and we highly recommend you make it a priority to visit.
Hotel Saint Francis - We stayed here our first night in Santa fe and absolutely loved it. It was right in the middle of everything. We love the mission style interior and their smoked sage margaritas. They allow dogs too which was perfect!
Casa De Alma - We stayed here for a few nights. Its was the perfect place located really close to the street with all the art galleries on it.
La Posada De Santa Fe - We didn’t stay here but we did eat brunch here one day, the patio was wonderful and the flowers were in bloom!
Cafe Pasqual - This is an iconic New Mexican food breakfast place. They have great juices and wonderful food.
Modern General - They have great juices, smoothies, and sandwiches and they also offer classes to learn how to garden. How cute is that? Any seeds or tools you need, they've got em!
Shake Foundation - This great little burger place has no fuss burgers, shakes, and fries as well as fun outdoor seating!
Ten Thousand Waves - This place is a spa, restaurant, and hotel. We just went for an afternoon to the spa but it was so relaxing!
Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm - We can't put into words how wonderful this place was. We made dinner reservations for us on our last night in New Mexico. From the entrance with the trees lining the road, to the farm shop, to the wonderful food, to all the lovely flowers, to the greenhouse, to the cocktails, this place was a great way to end our trip.
