Cinque Terre, Italy
Cinque Terre is so beautiful. It is made up of 5 tiny little towns just a little bit northwest of Florence. We took a day trip out of Florence and got on the earliest train we possibly could to make sure we got to soak up every minute of being on the coast. Unfortunately, but realistically, it was very crowded with plenty of tourists...but once you are there you understand why there are so many people there because it is so beautiful.
We jumped into the sea a few times to get away from the heat. We were able to go to three out of the five little towns. There is a train that goes from town to town as well as a ferry. We did both. Neither one is very expensive. Our first stop was Manarola, then Vernazza, and lastly Monterosso. Monterosso is the biggest of them all and it felt the least crowded which was nice. We both fealt like Cinque Terre is a little Amalfi coast and was definitely worth the trip!
This place had an incredible view of the water and city. The food was so fresh and delicious and the sangria was maybe the best we’ve ever had. A line starts to form before they open so make sure you check what time they open before you go so you can make sure and get a spot!
To beat the heat and the crowds of tourists, we climbed out to the rocks to take a dip in the sea!
